Sofia Hotel - Heraklion (Crete)

Super friendly staff helped me out, and the convenient parking made everything easy. The pool area looked inviting even though I didn't swim. Will definitely come back!

Everything was expected to be fine.

2 minutes to the airport, staff is friendly, there is a restaurant.

Uncomfortable beds, hotel for the night.

The outdated room was a shockingly unpleasant surprise, with an unthinkable lack of privacy. I also expected a complimentary upgrade for enduring such crap, but clearly, that was wishful thinking. Breakfast was another disaster with instant coffee and juice that tasted like chemicals. I almost could've given a good review, but i just couldn't. Unacceptable!

Lovely rooms and servce

The location was convenient, with restaurants and cafes near the hotel. It was located near a bus stop giving access to many Heraklion attractions. The breakfast was sensational, had a great selection of options and the food was good.

Noise from other guests and aircraft affects sleep quality!!! Basic room decor feels outdated and uninspired!!! Shower design in smaller rooms lacks functionality, leading to water spillage!!! Limited pool hours restrict enjoyment!!!

The pool was dirty and the water green.

Although the hotel is very close to a busy airport, excellent double glazing means that it is still quiet in the rooms. Parking is a big problem in Heraklion but this hotel benefits from its own free car park which can be a big advantage. The staff are friendly and helpful.

The breakfast was poor in terms of variety and quality, even by Greek standards. As I live in Crete I wasn't expecting an American or English style breakfast, but, for example, the bread was stale, and the eggs had run out and no more were brought out. Other hotels here in a similar price bracket have provided better quality.

Super tidy and attentive service with a warm, cute atmosphere.

I booked this room as it was close to Heraklion and had a late reception, due to our late flight arrival. It was quick and easy to get to as expected. It was a good price for it's location and it would have been daft to pay more as we only used it to catch a few hours sleep. In the morning the breakfast was fine and we saw the pool and wished that we were staying longer. All in all I have never before enjoyed a night after a late flight into Heraklion, but I actually did this time!

The outdoor pool was a nice spot to relax and unwind after a day of exploring. I enjoyed how convenient it was to walk to nearby restaurants and shops. This.

The outdoor pool was a hit with my family, especially with our little one splashing around. We enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and the good breakfast options. The proximity to the airport made it easy for our family to relax and catch our flight smoothly.

For dads, it would be great to have a dedicated play area for kids.

I needed an hotel near the airport.

The location is not well reachable. The staff is not much supporting: i.e. they did not gave us even a map of the city when we asked information.
